Our goal per dinner is for your guests to buy 20 bricks.
Pick your date in April 2018 to host your dinner.
We will be following up with you to give you more information and to confirm you are able to give us a helping hand. Thank you.
Asante sana, Liza and Amy
To date we have built four new classrooms and provided funding for the day to day running of the school since 2014. With these final two
classrooms constructed we will have capacity at El Bokoch School to educate 280 children.
FOOD FOR THE DAASANACH COMMUNITY IN ILERET, NORTHERN KENYA
WHY: PEOPLE ARE STARVING TO DEATH
WHAT: WE WILL PERSONALLY DELIVER THIS FOOD (MAIZE) TO ILERET
HOW: YOU DONATE ONE 90KG SACK OF MAIZE
Please go to the Newsletter Page and click on 'Newsletter May 2017' to read about what you helped accomplish by so generously donating.
THE A-MAIZE APPEAL - FUNDS REQUIRED BY 21 FEBRUARY 2017
Sit down for 10 minutes, make a sandwich and have a coffee, please take the time to read this. As all of you are aware we have been working in Ileret, Northern Kenya building and operating educational facilities since 2009. This fundraising effort which we are asking you to respond too is different from the other requests we have made to you.
WHY: Right now Northern Kenya is in severe drought. Normally the rains would have come by this time of year and the situation wouldn't be so dire. But right now the Daasanach Tribe are losing their animals, their livelihood and now their lives. We have received disturbing information, images and media reports from our Ileret coordinators and Kenyan newspapers.
WHAT: we are doing is putting this urgent request to you all to give funds to buy maize in Nairobi (13.5 tonnes) and truck it to Ileret. Liza leaves this Saturday to head to Kenya to be on the ground to organise this relief mission.
HOW: you can help. Please donate one bag (90KG) of maize which will cost you $70.00 New Zealand dollars or $50.00 USD. This is the equivalent to 17 cups of coffee in New Zealand or ten sandwiches. What it will mean to our children and their familites in Ileret is LIFE.
What an A-Maizing response from you all! Thank you to all the people below who gave so generously:
